I cannot say enough fantastic things about “Moveable Feast”. In my opinion they are one of
the finest catering operations in the Nashville area. Elaine O'Day, the owner, is exceptionally
gifted and talented. |

Movable Feast, Inc. started as a dream of mine in 1970 when I attended the University of Delaware to study Foods and Nutrition. For purely economics reasons, I spent the first 37 years of my career with AT&T and had the wonderful opportunity to live in several states throughout the United States.
During that time, I didn’t miss the chance to cook for others. I worked with large volunteer groups serving the local community. Projects included Habitat for Humanity, National Parks Service and public television. I also served as public television’s Action Auction food coordinator during annual fundraisers, feeding 300 people daily during a two-week period. This was my motivator that helped keep the dream alive for me serving large groups with wonderful meals.
I went back to college enrolling in catering classes at Volunteer State College in 2001. I excelled and was selected as the outstanding catering student from Vol State and represented the college at the National Restaurant Association show in 2002.
I continued my education studying Food Safety and Sanitation earning my certification as a Professional Food Manager. Equipped, energized, and confident, I formed my company, Movable Feast in 2002. The corporate training and skills I gained while at AT&T provided the foundation I needed to operate a small business. My recipe for success for you and my company is to provide reliable and dependable services, wonderful food with a joyful, passionate spirit. Cooking and entertaining is my passion and working in the food industry has become an artistic expression for me in which all my joy, passion, and love can be mixed into a bowl to bring pleasure to all those around me.
Joining Movable Feast in 2003 was my son, Shaun O’Day. Shaun graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in special education. After a brief stint working in that field, Shaun realized that teaching was not the profession he wanted to pursue. Shaun welcomed the chance to join me in the new business. Shaun works with catering set-up, take down, food preparation, and contributes in the every day operation of the business.
Shaun and I are blessed with a team of very capable and enthusiastic staff members. The team provides superior wedding and corporate receptions. We look forward to serving you for all your catering needs. |
